Do you prefer clean lines, old walls or a lively city backdrop? Here are five places from my Munich photo sessions. The photographs can help you choose the mood for your own shoot.

Hofgarten and its entrance gate

Pale pillars, long arcades and a view of the Theatine Church from the gate. A short walk takes us from a simple backdrop to a setting that clearly says Munich.

For individual portraits and couple photos with classic architecture. The arcades offer side light to work with. We choose a spot that leaves the walkway clear.

Nationaltheater on Max-Joseph-Platz

Broad steps, pale columns and tall arched windows give portraits a clear frame. A quiet standing pose works here, as does walking a few steps. Simple clothes leave room for the architecture and your expression.

For classic individual portraits with a distinctive Munich backdrop. We check the accessible area beforehand and keep entrances and walkways clear.

The ivy-covered Pfistermühle

Climbing greenery, small windows and warm walls feel different from a grand city façade. They suit personal couple photos and lively family moments. For a quieter portrait, we choose a simpler part of the background.

For couple and family photos with a cosy old-town atmosphere. Any use of the restaurant terrace is arranged with the venue beforehand.

Marienplatz and the Old Town Hall

A view of the Old Town Hall makes Munich recognisable in the photograph. A small movement or a shared glance brings something personal to a family picture beside a familiar landmark. Framing matters: the city can stay visible without taking attention away from you.

For family and couple photos that tell a story about Munich. We choose a suitable angle on the day and work around pedestrian traffic.

Hackerbrücke

Steel arches, rivets and the city behind you. The bridge gives the pictures strong lines and texture. A leather jacket, jeans or a simple outfit work well here.

For expressive individual portraits with an urban backdrop. We check which section is accessible before the shoot. We stay on the walkway and leave room for people to pass.
